Overview

	Hotel Borik is located in the heart of the little village of Lumbarda, only a few steps from the main street and with a view on the marina Lumbarda and the Peljesac peninsula.
	The hotels beautiful building is the former stone summer palace of the Mirosevic; family, today with about twenty restructured rooms with air conditioning. The annexe Borik is located behind the hotel and has further 60 restructured rooms with a balcony.
	Lumbarda outspreads around small bays and surrounding hills. It is situated 6 km from Korcula and can be reached by asphalt road winding through picturesque pine wood and olive groves. Lumbarda is surrounded by sand vineyards, and its specific soil and position on the southern part of the island are a winning combination for breeding a famous cultivar Grk. The work in vineyards is usually manual, with minimal application of pesticides which results in golden vine of crystal purity. The place has a little bit more than 1000 inhabitants and there is no industry on the island; only beaches, woods and small marina. In this small Mediterranean settlement there still are numerous ancient Greeks and Romans remains.
	Tourism is flourishing these days: in hotels, camps, private accommodation, sand, gravel and stone beaches, accompanied with good vine, fish, olive, music and dancing.

Location & Transportation

Hotel Borik is located in the heart of the little village of Lumbarda, only a few steps from the main street and with a view on the marina Lumbarda and the Peljesac peninsula. You can reach the beautiful beaches by foot. The pebbly beach Tatinje is only 200 m away from the hotel, but if you prefer rocky beaches, we recommend you Bilin zal. The path to the sandy beach Przine will lead you through vineyards and olive groves and you will find the sea in that cove warmer than around the rest of the island. It would be a pity not to visit some of the fabulous sites near Lumbarda, which is the reason why the hotel offers excursions around Korcula, to Mljet, the most densely wooded island in Croatia and the worldwide famous pearl of the Croatian tourism, the town of Dubrovnik.
Directions	Take the new motorway from Zagreb to Split. Take the ferry from Split to Drvenik (Korcula) or continue driving to the port of Ploce, where you may take the ferry to Trpanj, or drive to Orebic, which is the closest town to Korcula to take a ferry.

If you wish to savour top culinary specialties, you only have to come down towards the pleasant shade of the a la carte restaurant or pizzeria, and in those rare moments of rain you can enjoy your meal in the roofed part of the restaurant.
We are particularly proud of our vast renewed lounge bar, where you may freshen yourself with delicious summer cocktails sitting on comfortable reed armchairs. Hotel Borik has made available to its guests direct phone lines, SAT TV, an internet café, wireless internet in public areas, an exchange bureau and a bicycle rent.
If you prefere to swim in a pool instead of the sea in June 2010 an outdoor pool is opened. It has a children section, too.
