After several stays, we finally decided to buy this villa and to change it into a guest house. |

Hvar is often named the Saint Tropez of Croatia. Not only because of the many yachts which accost here, along a splendid walk bordered with palm trees, but also thanks to the jet set and the VIP's of the whole world, who like to stay here. In the summer, numerous young people come here to dance in the bars like the Metropolis and the Carpe Diem. The island is the most visited and the sunniest (more than 2700 hours per year) of Croatia . It was elected by the Traveler magazine as one of the ten most beautiful islands in the world with Capri, Bali and Mykonos.
Its climate is typically mediterranean, with not too high summer and mild winter temperatures and a beautiful forest (pines) covering the island. The culture of lavender, vine and olive-trees is widely developed here. | | Directions | To get from Stari Grad harbour to Hvar with car (21 km) and then to La Casa di Elisa, it is really easy. When you arrive in Hvar-city, you will come down to a first round-about where you have to turn left and follow the street approx. 1000 m (take the direction of the petrol filling station). You then arrive at a corner with a small shop on the left named "Stifa". Take the street left, then immediately right. La Casa di Elisa is 50m further on the right (it is a brown-red house).
If you come in Stari Grad without car, you have to take a shuttle bus to Hvar or a taxi.
If you come directly into Hvar harbour by catamaran, then follow the coast on the left. La Casa di Elisa is at approximately 12 minutes walking distance. | | Airport | Split |
